Adhesives & Cements
Introducing BRÄJEN™ UNIBOND™ - a self-etching, light-activated orthodontic bonding system.
Manufactured utilizing
state of the art technology, it offers versatility, ease of bonding and reliability by providing better patient
care, greater productivity and higher profitability.

ADVANCED PERFORMANCE
Phosphoric acid etching can be a challenging process
for dental professionals. The subsequent rinsing and
drying steps have to be carried out precisely to
prevent the infiltration of the adhesive from being
compromised. Once mixed, the bonding agents of
BRÄJEN™ UNIBOND™ etch, prime, and bond in
one, simple and cost effective step.
It creates an etching pattern similar to that produced
when using phosphoric acid based etchants because
of its optimal acidic structure. The acid is, then
neutralized by the calcium hydroxyapatite of the
tooth structure preparing the tooth for bonding. As
soon as the enamel surface where the bracket will be
placed is treated with the mixed bonding agents,
MAC-10 and methacrylates are able to pentrate, selfetching
the mineral components of the enamel tissue
and simultaneously giving the priming and bonding
effect to strengthen the adhesion between the
enamel and the composite resin. It creates a
microretentive bond by both etching the enamel and
penetration of the fillers into the treated enamel.
Thus, the drying, etching and rinsing steps are
completely eliminated, significantly reducing chair
time.

Figure 1: The upper half is the set bonding layer and the lower half is the enamel layer. The enamel
surface was finely and densely etched and the
hydroxyapatite crystals of the enamel prism are
decalcified. (FE-SEM x 5,000)
Figure 2: The upper half is the set bonding agent
which shows a network structure and the lower half
is the enamel layer. The fine etching pattern of the
enamel surface is very clear. (FE-SEM x20,000)
Figure 3: Although etching with BRÄJEN™
UNIBOND™ is slight the connection between the
resin and enamel was very tight producing small and
dense resin tags. (SEM x 5,000)

ADVANCED STRENGTH
Because of its patented adhesive monomer and filler
technology BRÄJEN™ UNIBOND™ offers strong
adhesion to the enamel allowing immediate archwire
placement. Eliminating bracket pop offs, it saves you
valuable chair time. Independent organizations show
high bond strength (22MPa*), yet brackets are easily removed after treatment.
The viscosity of the composite prevents bracket
floatation and it has superior resistance to discoloration.
It creates a chemical bond with the bracket base and
thanks to its versatility it bonds to ceramic, composite
and metal brackets allowing for more options.
*Data on file. The tensile bond strength
of Brajen Unibond bonding agent was 22-22.5 MPa to the enamel after thermocycling test
of 10,000 times a 4-600C
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
Because of its advanced chemistry, BRÄJEN™ UNIBOND™ is the ONLY orthodontic bonding system that contains a unique color chromatic primer which gives the
clinician visual confirmation of polymerization by color change. The primer bottles contain a clear and a yellow liquid that turn
pink upon mixing. The chromatic agent in the primer is visible (pink) during the application and invisible (tooth color) upon
completion of polymerization. Seeing where the primer has been placed allows for proper bracket placement streamlining the bonding procedure.
BRÄJEN™ UNIBOND offers:
No acid etching, no rinsing, no drying reducing chair time.
Simplicity = SPEED!
- Mix Bottle A and Bottle B
- Apply the mixture on each tooth
- Apply paste on the base of the bracket
- Place the bracket on the tooth
- Light cure each tooth for 10 seconds
- You are DONE!
Exceptional bond strengths (22MPa*) proven by independent organizations
Application process is simple and very straightforward because no separate etching step is required.
No acid etching means no sensitivity for maximum patient comfort.
Only orthodontic bonding system to give you visual confirmation taking the “guesswork” out of bonding.
Controllable and visible mixing, dosing and application steps for optimal results with virtually no waste.
Higher filler content of the primers (10%) provides greater strength.
Fluoride release for increased patient protection.
Viscosity of the paste eliminates bracket flotation.
High light sensitivity of the material allows the use of ceramic, composite and metal brackets.
Cures in 10 seconds with a visible curing light. (Min 800MW/cm2)
Superior resistance to discoloration.
No offensive odor or taste
*Adhesives and cements can not be returned!
